George C Lewis was a private from Suffield CT he enlisted on December 10th, 1863. During his time he mustered into the “C” Co 29th regiment of Connecticut. Later he was mustered out on October, 27th,1864 at Kell House, VA. After numerous searches of George C LEwis I thought it was a dead end to find information on this soldier, but after using the civil war database things were easier. The battle of Kell House was a significant and important engagement for the 29th Regiment. Click here for more information on that battle: http://29thregiment.com/Soldier_Stories.html
